- Urinary tract infection (pyelonephritis and cystitis)
- Nocardia
- Plasmodium falciparum, resistant to chloroquine.
- Toxoplasmosis in combination with pyrimethamine (sulfadiazine preferred)
- Otitis media (pediatric) in combination with PCN also trachoma including inclusion conjunctivitis, chancroid, meningococcal meningitis prophylaxis when sulfonamide-sensitive group A strains are known to prevail and meningitis caused by H. influenzae in combination with streptomycin (pediatric suspension)
