FDA

  • Influenza A
    • Treatment for adults ≥17 years
    • Prophylaxis: adults and children ≥1 year.
  • CDC has not recommended adamantanes for seasonal influenza since 2005–06 because of widespread resistance; high-level resistance persists.[6]
    • WHO 2024 did not consider amantadine or rimantadine because of widespread global resistance.[7]
