- Prophylaxis and treatment of chloroquine-resistant malaria.
- Malaria (acute) in combination with sulfadoxine and quinine in treating chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria. - Resistance is prevalent worldwide (not recommended as a prophylactic agent for travelers to most areas).
