VACCINE TYPES

  • Pneumovax (PPSV23): 23-valent polysaccharide vaccine w/ serotype antigens covering 87% bacteremic cases and most PCN-resistant serotypes.
  • Vaxneuvance (PCV15): 15-valent conjugate vaccine covers serotypes 1, 3, 5, 4, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F, and 33F.
  • Prevnar (PCV20): contains PCV15 serotypes in addition to 8, 10A, 11A, 12F, and 15B serotypes
  • Capvaxive (PCV21): contains 3, 6A, 7F, 8, 9N, 10A, 11A, 12F, 15A,15B, 15C, 16F, 17F, 19A, 20A, 22F, 23A, 23B, 24F, 31, 33F, and 35B serotypes
