Parvovirus B19
MICROBIOLOGY
- Single-stranded DNA virus, member of Parvoviridae, genus Erythrovirus.
- Parvovirus B19 is the cause of human infection but is not a "parvovirus" technically, as is the case with many mammalian species that have strains of parvovirus that cause infection.
