- Staphylococcus aureus
- Coagulase-negative staphylococci
- Streptococcus species
- Enterococcus
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Gram-negative enteric bacilli
- Anaerobic bacteria (especially Cutibacterium acnes)
- Post animal or human bite: Pasturella multocida, Eikenella corrodens or polymicrobial
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis (see active TB module)
- Atypical Mycobacteria infections (Mycobacterium abscessus , Mycobacterium ulcerans , Mycobacterium kansasii , Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare complex , Mycobacterium chelonae, and others)[5]
