- Not available in the U.S., the spectrum of activity is similar to vancomycin.
- Used for complicated skin and skin structure infections, bone and joint infections, pneumonia (CAP, HAP), cUTI, infective endocarditis, peritonitis (in peritoneal dialysis), and bacteremia due to susceptible Gram positive pathogens.
- An alternative agent for Clostridium difficilecolitis.
