  • Staphylococcus aureus (often MRSA)
  • Coagulase-negative Staphylococci
  • Enterococcus
  • Streptococcus spp.
  • Gram-negative bacilli
  • Anaerobes (depending on site)
  • Candida species (less commonly implicated)
  • Atypical Mycobacteria (M. fortuitum, M.chelonae, M. abscessus, M. chimaera)
