  • Trichophyton mentagrophytes
  • Microsporum spp.
  • Epidermophyton floccosum
  • Non-dermatophytes (10-20% of cases), including Fusarium, Acremonium, Scopulariopsis, Aspergillus, and yeasts (Candida is reported to be more common in fingernail infections than in toenails - C. parapsilosis and C. albicans appear most common.)
