Flavivirus is transmitted by peridomestic Aedes aegypti, sometimes Aedes albopictus, mosquitoes.
- Both vectors are present in the U.S., especially in southern states.
Four types of dengue virus: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4.
