  • Flavivirus is transmitted by peridomestic Aedes aegypti, sometimes Aedes albopictus, mosquitoes.
    • Both vectors are present in the U.S., especially in southern states.
  • Four types of dengue virus: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4.
