General comments:
- E. coli accounts for approximately 75%; other Enterobacteriaceae - most of the rest.
- Uncommon pathogens: S. saprophyticus, S. aureus, N. gonorrhoeae, C. trachomatis, fungi, viruses.
- Prostatitis due to Enterococcus spp or Pseudomonas spp. is more difficult to treat.
